Is it good to do Liposuction, and how can I reduce the risk of surgery?

My mom did a liposuction thing and I’ve seen her went through all the pain and suffer from this surgery. To be honest it doesn’t help much because if you don’t exercise or control what you eat you will eventually gain weight. Liposuction doesn’t help in a long run. Sadly, It only makes you feel better in a short period of time.
